Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was reached following an investigation into allegations of questionable actions directed at women.
The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released more than 40 books altogether, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
